The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), the organization that formerly owned and operated the Golden Globe Awards, has initiated a lawsuit against Penske Media. The suit claims that Penske Media's acquisition of the Globes' assets was fraudulent. This legal challenge casts uncertainty over the new ownership structure established for the prestigious entertainment awards ceremony, which transitioned from HFPA stewardship in 2023.
